Our Hispanic Heritage program will engage your students with stories and activities that celebrate Hispanic Culture & Heritage.
DIVERSITY is an important concept. It implies that when differing elements unite, beautiful things happen. The Grand Rapids Press believes the same is true in our community—what makes us different makes us wonderful!
Thanks to the generous support from McDonald’s Corporation, The Grand Rapids Press is able to distribute this supplement and free newspapers to more than 650 classrooms. This Hispanic Heritage curriculum is designed to help students understand the importance of diversity in our community and our world. We’d also like to thank Rachelle Radtke and Amira Ponne, Spanish Instructors at Rockford Public Schools, along with distinquished members of the Hispanic community in West Michigan for serving as consultants for the development of this exciting campaign.
