Career Pathways

Hey students!
What do you want to be when you graduate? There are many excellent careers from which to choose. Wouldn’t it be cool to know what really happens on the job?

The Grand Rapids Press’ Newspapers in Education Department, in conjunction with Rockford High School, has created a special series that explores careers within six U.S. Department of Education recognized pathways: Natural Resources & Agriscience; Arts & Communications; Human Services; Business, Management, Marketing and Technology; Engineering, Math & Information Technology; and Health Services.

Journalism students from Rockford High School are assigned by their teacher, Jeanette Szpieg, to interview career professionals at their jobs. Each interview is recorded, edited and posted to the Rockford High School media class Web site
